Condition

Tennis elbow and golfer’s elbow.

These are overuse tendon conditions that cause pain on the outside or inside of the elbow.

What patients notice

Pain often worsens with gripping, lifting, racquet sports, golf, throwing, weight training, or repetitive computer and tool use. Symptoms can linger when tendon tissue becomes irritated or degenerative.

Care focuses on reducing overload, rebuilding tendon capacity, and considering advanced options when symptoms become chronic.

How it is treated

Treatment typically includes load modification, tendon-specific strengthening, ergonomic or equipment changes, and a gradual return to gripping or sport.

For chronic tendinosis that has not improved, Dr. Jones may discuss PRP or percutaneous tenotomy as minimally invasive options.
