Condition
Low back pain.
Low back pain can affect athletes, active adults, and people with physically demanding or seated routines.
What patients notice
Pain may be sharp, aching, one-sided, central, or associated with stiffness and reduced confidence moving. Training load, hip mobility, core strength, lifting mechanics, and recovery can all matter.
A medical evaluation is especially important when pain follows trauma, travels down the leg, causes weakness, or is associated with fever, unexplained weight loss, or bowel or bladder changes.
How it is treated
Treatment may include short-term activity modification, anti-inflammatory or pain-control guidance, mobility work, core and hip strengthening, and progressive return to lifting or sport.
Dr. Jones can also screen for warning signs that need imaging, spine referral, or urgent care.
